For years, Hermes has been refining the design of its iconic Birkin bag. As with the classic Kelly, which is constructed in both Retourne and Sellier styles, the Birkin is now also being produced in the out-stitched Sellier construction to complement the original design. The first example of this new construction debuted in 2014 with the 40cm Vache Hunter Sellier Birkin, featuring an unlined interior and distinct stitching around the hardware. Five years later, Hermes' master craftsmen perfected the design, releasing limited examples of both 25cm and 30cm Sellier Birkins in Epsom leather. This store-fresh 30cm piece is one such example. Unlike the original version, today's Sellier Birkins feature fully lined interiors with all the classic pockets.
What makes this particular Birkin doubly special is its unique color: Vert Criquet. This new shade is inspired by the vibrant greens found in nature, specifically the color of a cricket, and is beautifully complemented by gold hardware, offering a sophisticated and fresh look.
